Privacy Policy

Last Updated: June 13, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how RacewayIQ ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use our website, calculators, reports, and related services.

1. Information We Collect

We may collect information you provide directly, including your name, email address, account login information handled by our authentication provider, project information, saved calculation history, calculation inputs included in generated reports, support messages, and feedback.

We may also collect technical information automatically, including IP address, device type, browser, operating system, referring pages, pages viewed, time spent on pages, cookies, analytics events, and approximate location derived from IP address.

Our servers and infrastructure providers may automatically collect operational log information including IP addresses, timestamps, browser type, operating system, referring URLs, request metadata, and diagnostic information for security, fraud prevention, troubleshooting, and operational purposes.

Analytics events may include product usage information such as calculator selected, calculation status, export actions, reset actions, instruction views, warning counts, unit settings, reference edition, and other non-sensitive interaction data. We design our analytics implementation to avoid intentionally collecting raw calculation inputs, project names, prepared-by names, notes, locations, or other user-entered engineering content. However, users should avoid entering confidential or sensitive information unless necessary.

2. How We Use Information

We use information to provide the Service, operate calculators, generate reports, provide support, improve features, detect fraud, prevent abuse, analyze usage, comply with legal obligations, and communicate service updates.

3. Calculation and Project Data

Calculator inputs and results are intended to run locally within your browser unless an account, calculation history, storage, analytics, or report-handling feature is expressly enabled. Whenever possible, calculations are performed locally without being transmitted to our servers.

Guest users can use calculators without creating an account. PDF exports and saved calculation history require an account. Saved calculations exist to allow users to restore prior work.

If you save a calculation while signed in, the input values, selected options, timestamps, generated summaries, report metadata, favorites, and user-assigned names may be stored with your account so they can be restored later.

You are responsible for avoiding entry of confidential, proprietary, export-controlled, restricted, or otherwise sensitive information unless you are authorized to do so.

4. Cookies and Analytics

We may use cookies, pixels, local storage, session replay, heatmaps, and analytics tools to operate the website, remember preferences, measure usage, improve performance, and understand how users interact with the Service.

If account access is enabled, authentication cookies and session tokens may be used to keep users signed in and protect account pages. Account authentication may be processed by Supabase or another authentication provider.

We may also use fraud detection tools, bot detection technologies, performance monitoring, session replay technologies, heatmaps, and similar services to improve security, diagnose issues, and enhance the user experience.

5. Sharing Information

We may share information with service providers who help us operate the Service, including hosting providers, authentication providers, analytics providers, payment processors, database providers, form processors, email providers, customer support tools, and cloud infrastructure providers.

We do not sell your personal information for monetary compensation. We may share information only as necessary to operate, secure, maintain, and improve the Service.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect rights or safety, investigate fraud or abuse, enforce our agreements, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, bankruptcy, reorganization, or sale of assets, where user information may be transferred as part of the transaction.

6. Data Retention

We retain information only as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, improve the Service, and maintain security.

Deleted information may temporarily remain in encrypted backups before permanent removal.

We do not guarantee permanent storage of saved calculations, reports, projects, or account data. Users are solely responsible for maintaining their own backups of important information.

7. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is fully secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

While we implement reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, no internet transmission or electronic storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Users acknowledge and accept this inherent risk.

8. Your Choices

Subject to applicable law, users may request deletion of their account and associated saved calculations, update certain account information, opt out of marketing communications, and adjust cookie preferences where available. Certain information may be retained where necessary to comply with legal obligations or protect legitimate business interests.

9. Fraud and Abuse Monitoring

We may monitor activity on the Service to detect spam, automated scraping, denial-of-service attacks, fraudulent behavior, abuse of free features, unauthorized access attempts, or violations of our Terms of Service.

10. User-Submitted Information

Information voluntarily entered into the Service, including saved calculations, report names, notes, project identifiers, uploaded content, or other user-generated information, remains the responsibility of the user. You represent that you have the legal right to provide such information and that doing so does not violate any confidentiality obligations, contracts, export restrictions, or applicable laws.

11. Do Not Track Signals

At this time, the Service does not respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals or similar mechanisms.

12. California Privacy Notice

California residents may have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including rights to know, delete, correct, and opt out of certain sharing or sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information in the ordinary sense, but some analytics or advertising tools may be considered sharing under certain laws.

13. International Users

If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States or other jurisdictions. By using the Service, you consent to such processing where permitted by law.

14. Children

The Service is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

15. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated policy.
